I’m Phoenix Ward, Owner and Lead Trainer of Super Genius Dog Classes ©, and the creator of the Super Genius training formats and learning systems. My work is built on decades of hands-on experience and a deep respect for how dogs truly learn. Super Genius Dog Classes was created to offer a smarter, more thoughtful approach to training—one that develops understanding, confidence, and clarity for both dogs and the humans who guide them.

Why I Do What I Do

I’ve spent decades working hands-on with dogs of all breeds, ages, temperaments, and backgrounds. Throughout my career, I’ve seen what works — and what doesn’t. More importantly, I’ve seen how often dogs are misunderstood or underestimated.

Super Genius Dog Classes exists because I wanted to create something different: a training experience where structure and empathy coexist, where expectations are clear, and where dogs are taught how to think, regulate, and engage with intention.

Training, to me, is not about control. It’s about communication, trust, and meaningful progress.

A Founder-Led Training Experience

All Super Genius training formats are created, designed, and taught by me. I do not license my programs, franchise my classes, or hand instruction off to other trainers. This allows me to maintain consistency, integrity, and the high standards that define the Super Genius experience.

Whether I’m working with dogs privately or teaching Super Genius Group Dog Classes ©, my focus remains the same: thoughtful instruction, clear progression, and respect for each dog as an individual learner.

My Approach to Training

My training methods are non-force-based and rooted in behavioral science, cognitive learning principles, and real-world application. Dogs are not trained to simply respond — they are taught to understand.
